Devise.IT S.r.L. was established in March 2008. A group of IT professionals from Prato (Tuscany, Italy) who met through the open source community formed the company.
In May 2008 Devise.IT became part of the 2ndQuadrant network that offers consultancy, training and PostgreSQL open-source database support services in all of Europe.
In September 2008 Devise.IT acquired Internet Service Provider [X]con broadening the spectrum of IT services it now provides.
In October 2008 Devise.IT contributed significantly to the organisation of PGDay 2008, the first European conference on the database PostgreSQL. The conference took place in Prato and in attendance were numerous IT professionals of international calibre.
